Olivier Giroud receives formal offer from Los Angeles FC, confirms Fabrizio Romano

Reports suggest that AC Milan forward Olivier Giroud has been presented with a concrete offer from Los Angeles FC (LAFC).

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano revealed on X that LAFC have made their move, with former Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris backing the club.

Giroud’s contract with Milan expires in June, making him eligible for a free transfer to MLS.

Despite receiving other lucrative offers, LAFC appears to be leading the race for the French World Cup winner’s signature.

Romano also mentioned that Lloris, who shares French nationality with Giroud, is actively promoting the idea of a reunion with his compatriot in Los Angeles.

Sources indicate that Giroud is tempted by the prospect of joining the Major League Soccer (MLS) upon conclusion of his contract with Milan on June 30, 2024.

Since joining Milan from Chelsea in 2021, Giroud has been a prolific scorer, netting 46 goals in 121 appearances for the Serie A side.
